1. Terms of service

All quotes are valid for 30 days. A 15% deposit is required upon contract signing. The balance is payable upon delivery and complete installation. Manufacturing lead times are 4 to 6 weeks.

Any modification to a project in progress may result in additional cost and delay, communicated in writing before execution. The warranty on materials and installation is defined in the individual contract and complies with the requirements of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).

Personal information collected

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Respond to your quote or appointment request
• Plan and execute work if you become a client
• Send you administrative communications related to your project
• Improve the operation of our website
• Comply with our legal and accounting obligations

We never use your information for external marketing nor sell it to third parties.

Third parties and sub-processors

To deliver our services, some information may be shared with vendors bound by agreement:

• Resend (transactional email delivery) - hosted in the United States
• Crisp (live chat, if enabled) - hosted in Europe
• Cal.com (appointment booking, if enabled) - hosted in Europe or the United States
• Google Analytics (anonymized traffic statistics, only with your consent)

Storage location

Information is stored on servers located in Canada. The sub-processors listed above may process information outside Quebec; in such cases we ensure they provide an adequate level of protection within the meaning of Law 25.

Retention period

• Unconverted quote requests: 24 months following last contact
• Client files (executed contracts): 7 years following project completion, per the Civil Code of Quebec
• Browsing information: up to 26 months

Your rights

Under Law 25 (Quebec) and PIPEDA (Canada), you have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you
• Have any inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
• Request deletion of your information where the law permits
• Withdraw your consent at any time
• File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (https://www.cai.gouv.qc.ca)

To exercise these rights, write to us at info@balconelite.ca with a clear description of your request. We will reply within 30 days at the latest.

Cookies and analytics

Our site uses cookies strictly necessary for its operation. Any audience measurement tool (such as Google Analytics) is activated only with your prior consent, given through a cookie banner on your first visit.
